Licensee Fee Guideline
All the fields are mandatory to use the app. The information filled in these fields are used for statistical purpose. All the statistical information which is generated is for general information purpose and is not for any commercial purpose. The statistical information will be collected from the data fields of the main register. The use of the information for any commercial purpose is strictly prohibited. The information collected for statistical purpose is encrypted and password protected.
Should any of the required or mandatory fields not be filled by the
customer, the customer shall be advised to fill the same by going through the
registration formalities or by contacting Life Insurance Corporation of India. In order to prevent any attempt to use the app by unauthorised persons, the system is locked after midnight and customers who have created the account before that time should be authorised by going through the registration formalities. If the customer creates the account after midnight, it should be intimated to Life Insurance Corporation of India so that a policy is opened in their name.
Should a customer choose not to install the app, his/her account would be locked automatically and a return letter would be sent to the customer’s registered address by registered post.
The primary purpose of the app is to collect various information related to the LIC account and customer. The information required to generate the passbook, summary and statement is collected from the main register of the customer. The information is encrypted and password protected. The passbook and statement would be issued by the app only after the encryption is unlocked.
This app is the container app and all other LIC apps reside in this app. It is the responsibility of Life Insurance Corporation of India to make sure that all the information required to be collected is filled in.
This app provides a uniform interface which does not affect the existing experience and look and feel of the app. The user could look at a choice of account related information such as customer’s personal details, certificate number, account details, password, etc. All the existing user interface would be carried forward to the new app.
Prior to update the “LIC efeap" app, the LIC will inform all the customers of the development with a one-month notice period. Any customer found using the old version will be automatically blocked from using the app. At the same time, the customer will also be informed to update the app.
